Houseguest

While one of our friends is out of town, we're taking care of his dog, Wallace. How can you not love a face like this?

Ramas...you have a lot of friends with dogs. Dog sitting seems like it's becoming a regular hobby. It's awesome though how God's provided this interim activity before you get a canine of your own.

Oy. I just got a word from the hubby that the houseguest has been not-so-nice to our couch...

Hi Kim! I sent the following out in an email...about a book for the Israel trip...didn't have your email...thought I'd leave a comment instead! Oh, and I never did make it to Aspen this past weekend...Leadville was as far as we went, but it was still in the mountains and still a fabulous adventure! (Picture on the blog.) Here's the email...

A good writer uses words so delicately that one is not overwhelmed by their complexity yet it still drawn into the intricate details of a story as to create a feeling that you, the reader, are walking alongside the main, narrating character.

The senior pastor at my church highly recommended " Blood Brothers" by Elias Chacour with David Hazard when we discussed the Israel trip. I'm about half-way through it and HIGHLY recommend it BEFORE the Israel trip - EASY, quick read on a plane from Denver. Eilas grew up as a Christian in Palestine - born about 1940 - and ended up a Bishop. Seminary in Paris. All kinds of adventures. Because Senior Pastor lent it to me, I don't have a copy to pass around, but still, check it out!
